The Canon Ixus 75 IWFF project

How many dinners and beers can a professional photographer earn working with a pocket camera in Thailand? I am about to get the statistics!

In a couple of hours I am off to Phuket, Thailand for well deserved vacation. Actually, it is the first one since January 2008. Back then I was on Phi Phi Island with models, shooting for a British publishing house for a month. The stay was so great I still call it vacation. (Thank you super-models!)

When staying at one of our locations, a luxury villa in Phuket, I played around with my Canon Ixus in our pool taking underwater pictures of one of the models. The result can be seen below and I was pretty pleased.

During my VIP tour for Models-n-Shoots I challenged myself shooting "impossible shots"; once again with my pocket camera, this time in badly lit bathrooms! Just shoot and export - no editing allowed (OK, I did make one into black&white).
But hey, it did not turn out bad at all.

So why not raise the bar?
When I am in Thailand, I will try to shoot people with only my Canon Ixus 75 and if they like the pictures, they will have pay me with dinner and beers.
How many dinners and beers do you think I can earn? :-)
